Perth Festival cuts links to Chevron

'Friends, we did it!!

Over three years ago we set out to rid Perth's two premier arts festivals of their poisonous partnerships with WA's two biggest emitters Woodside Energy and Chevron. Today Perth Festival announced its disassociation from Chevron after next year's festival.

This would not have been possible without sustained pressure from Perth's artist community. Thanks to everyone who made this possible. We now have a fossil free Fringe and Perth Fest.

While we have this opportunity it is important to recognise the ongoing struggles against the woeful company that is Chevron. To those communities, West Australian will continue acting in solidarity with you however we can.'
